Job Description/
Responsibilities
Marketing Related Activities:
A) Advertising & Brand Awareness -Propose and implement advertising policy of the company. -Co-ordinate and liaise with advertising agency for Media Planning, conceptualization of the campaign, and selection of media. -Propose, plan and implement product launches, campaigns
B) Resource utilization -Effective use of the budgetary resources both on Expense and CAPEX for maximum benefit to the company. -Control and manage efficiently the allocated budgets
C)Company Investments in Customer premises / major projects -Carry out economic feasibility studies, make proposals for co-operations in major businesses, follow up for securing the business and timely implementation.
D) Service Centres / ROC Projects -Monitor performance of existing Service Centers/ROC’s. -Identify prospective partners, negotiate and liaise to secure the business. -Overseeing and implementation after taking necessary approvals. -Coordinate the operations to meet set objectives. E) Retail Business -Propose short-term /long-term Retail Market development plans. -Develop and implement Product Promotional/Dealer Incentive schemes for increasing sales. -Propose and implement actions to improve product-mix to improve profitability.
F) Product/Package -Development of New Products/Packages -Develop new packs/labels for improving brand equity and carry out rationalization and optimization of packages.
G) Market Research -Carry out /co-ordinate market research studies internally or with external agencies. -Keep the management informed on competition market shares.
H) Event Management /Seminars -Organize efficiently corporate events such as agents meet/ Customer/Dealer meets and other events. -Organize seminars for customers/agents and sales team to meet set objectives I)Marketing Literature /Promotional Tools -Ensure that necessary marketing tools/Literature such as brochures, posters, handbooks are made available to assist sales. -Procure promotional items for supporting sales.
Technical Related Activities:- A) Oversee the Technical activities with the Technical Manager with particular focus on Cost Savings, Rationalisation of Formulations, Product Development and coordination with Head office. CONTEXT AND ENVIRONMENT OF THE JOB ( to describe the internal and external environment of the job ) - Very highly competitive market, market conditions different in various countries of operations, demanding customers. - Aggressive sales team, and minimum reactive time.
MAIN OBJECTIVES AND ASSIGNMENTS - Build Brand awareness. - Set up Service centers/ROC’s. - Retail Market. - Support Sales team in direct marketing areas/ Agents & Distributors in Export markets. - Company investment in major projects/ customer locations. - Optimum and efficient use of the budgets. |
