Job Description/Responsibilities Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
• Sets and fixes the mould on mould maintenance stand
• Disassembles all the mould components: top spacer, upper keep plate, housing, key plates, spray ring, foot rollers, bottom spacer, bottom keep plate, mould tube, cooling jacket
• Inspects the mould tube manually to verify the inner surface condition of scratches and wear
• Inspects the mould inner surface using the mould measuring device
• Records the data for each mould tube: life on CCM, accumulated life, dimensions, etc
• Cleans of mould inner and outer surfaces before installation
• Assembles the mould: cooling jacket, bottom and upper spacers, mould tube, silicon seals, upper and lower keep plates, foot rolls, spray ring
• Aligns the foot rolls and mould tube using the dedicated template
• Checks the condition of mould oil distributor, oil filter, oil non return valve, pipes and fittings
• Performs water leakage test for the mould after assembly
• Decides the mould out of dimension and scraping the mould – after approval of CCM manager - upon actual measurements and exceeding the wear limits
• Installs and adjusts the secondary cooling segments
• Cleans the area of the mould repair shop
• Performs assembly and disassembly procedures for slide gate valves
• Keeps the spray nozzles in clean and unclogged condition
• Applies the safety and environmental regulations
• Executes working methods and procedures
• Responsible for the correct operation and care of the equipment he is in charge of
• Participates in quality programs
• Responsible for the compliance of the company policies and regulations
• Participates in meetings related to the process, quality and safety
• Gives feed back to the general foreman
• Maintains the operation area in good and clean condition
• Participates on the elaboration of programmed shutdowns
• Performs checks, tests and minor repairs between sequences to keep the healthy status of the equipment
• Participates with the personnel on the scheduled shutdowns and failures to minimize the time loses
• Takes decisions regarding the mould / slide gate condition
• Participates during the repairs and preparation of CCM in case of a break out • Interacts with the superiors to widen his knowledge and abilities
• Participates and supports the crew personnel for correcting failures in any of the melt shop units
• Participates in the programmed shut downs |

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Performs complete overhauling and maintenance of the Mould and Slide Gate mechanism in the mould repair shop.
Education & Qualification Requirements:
• Technical school
• English language
Experience 2 - 7 years
Education Basic - Secondary School ( Technical )
