About the Job :
Our Client is currently heading up a large Iron Ore Mining Expansion project and currently seeking an experienced Principal Mining Engineer to be based in the UK.
The successful candidate will be required to have experience in production, projects and mine planning with a specialisation in mine planning preferable. You will be comfortable in reporting and presenting results to management/clients.
You will also be required to have had experience in taking a deposit through the mining planning and design project process from conceptual study to feasibility including major trade-offs producing: detailed resource/reserve statements; ore costing; detailed product flows; equipment/personnel forecasts.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Required Skills/Experience: 10 years experience required predominantly in open pit mining, preferably in various commodities such as iron ore, base metals, gold.
Candidates with fluent written and spoken Russian and English are highly desired.
Desired Skills/Experience: Extensive experience of whittle or a general mining package (and equipment simulation packages such as TALPAC are highly desirable.
Candidates with fluent written and spoken Russian and English are highly desired.
Experience in the FSU would be advantageous.
Required Qualifications: Science degree in Mining Engineering, or related field.
Minimum Experience: 8 years |
