Qualifications:
Engineer (Diploma - Ingenieur) or appropriate national licensed qualification with more then 5 years experience
Job Purpose:
My client's design offices in Berlin and Warsaw undertake multi disciplinary design work for projects throughout Central Europe and Russia. Their clients principally consist of internationally focused architects and developers and appreciate the skills and added value we are able to bring to their projects.
They are expanding the capability of their Berlin team and wish to appoint a Structural Engineer to operate within this market. The requirements will from time to time demand travel to where opportunities are (current regional projects with English speaking clients are ongoing in Germany, Poland, Czech Republic, Italy, Hungary, Russia, Georgia and Ukraine). |

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Person Specification:
Strong communication skills with good command of German and English
An ability to add value to a project and starting to think beyond their own discipline and a natural tendency to contribute to collaborative problem solving in a multi-disciplinary environment.
Have a desire to gain experience of contributing to multiple projects and balancing workload requirements.
Have a strong belief in the constant delivery of a quality product for clients.
A team player with flexible approach, committed to the immediate and future success of his/her team.
Continually ensuring that practises, policies, strategy and services represent the client's best interests and that the clients policy is in keeping with current legislation, German Standards and Codes of Practise etc.
Commitment to Continuing Professional Development and self learning / development;
Actively working towards Chartered Engineering status (if Appropriate)
Key Responsibilities:
Undertake detailed engineering design
Prepare technical schedules
Plan and manage CAD documentation of design work
Work closely with an monitor performance of Technician (as appropriate)
Under guidance of senior staff, represent my client at meetings with their client, other professionals and suppliers as required
Act as second in command in absence of Job Leader, ensuring internal and external processes area effectively managed.
Contribute to the design and delivery of discipline engineering on multiple projects, seeing them through to completion.
Ensure service and project work are carried out within agreed deadlines and within budget
Ensure that appropriate service / design decisions are met
Ensure senior staff are kept informed of important and relevant service / Design decisions and the objectives of the company and the client are achieved
Coordinating his / her work with other members of the project team
Ensuring all relevant staff are informed of client matters
Continually ensuring that practises, policies, strategy and services represent the client's best interests and that policy is in keeping with current legislation, German / International Standards and Codes of Practise etc.
