To plan project activities to ensure:
- deadlines are met
- allocate activities and resources
- monitor project progress
- interface with QC, Safety, Engineering, Procurement
- estimated costs/ manpower are not exceeding
- achieve target margins on jobs & productivity is maintained to its highest standard
- overall housekeeping of the respective areas of work
- discipline and adherence to the polices of MIS by the taskforce

Supervise, co-ordinate and direct all the activities of the Fabrication Section and Fabrication Personnel which includes pipe fitting, marine fabrications and welding activities. Ensure that safety policies and procedures are adhered to consistently, minimizing risk to personnel.

Receive work orders and determines priorities based on work schedules and commitments, determine extent of work and other requirements, obtain appropriate materials, special tools and equipment as required, assign tradesmen to the various jobs and provide necessary technical instructions.

Check daily the work progress and inspect completed work to ensure conformity with established standard. Inspect work performed by sub-contractors for compliance with established specifications and standards.

Arrange for and ensure that tools, equipment, spare parts and other materials are available work at all times and initiates list of spare parts and materials for replenishment of stock.

Review weekly schedule and coordinate running of schedule through Project Managers daily.

Take proactive approach in reducing scrap levels by analyzing daily and weekly scrap data by machine and focusing resources on effective changeovers and consistent machine set up and operation.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Engineering Degree/ Diploma in Fabrication

Minimum of 12 years experience in the field of Fabrication in Ship Building &/or Oil and Gas Industry with at least 5 years as Fabrication Superintendent managing a workforce of 800 to 1500.

Excellent communication skills in English. Knowledge of Arabic will be of distinctive advantage.

Preferred Nationality: AMERICAN / EUROPEAN

Preferred Age: Between 35 to 45 years
