About the Job :
Programmer / Analyst
Generic Overview & Purpose
To contribute to the effectiveness of the Company in achieving its aims and objectives through carrying out all duties in an efficient, professional manner at all times. The analyst must demonstrate ability to meet schedules under pressure, operate as part of a team, be flexible to meet changes in market requirements and able to produce quality software on time.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop TSYS Card Tech software
• Install TSYS Card Tech software and train client on sites as required
• Deliver quality software to client on time
• To solve any client software problems relating to TSYS Card Tech software
• Identify ‘bugs’ in system
• Work to a Quality Assurance (QA) standard
• To support the client software life-cycle
• To develop software using various tools
The analyst must perform and demonstrate the above competences in the following four key areas.
Software coding work
The Analyst will undertake specific development work. In this type of assignment the analyst will be reporting to a Senior Analyst or undertaking specific coding work as part of a project team. Performance is measured by the ability to deliver quality software that is suitably tested and on time.
Installation and training
The Analyst will undertake on site assignments installing TSYS Card Tech's software on the clients hardware and train the clients on the use of the software. The Analyst must demonstrate flexibility and willingness to travel. Travelling abroad is an essential part of this job. Performance is measured by the ability to secure from the site the required Certificate of Acceptance (COA).
Service Desk
The Analyst will be expected to address problems reported by clients on bugs identified in the software. The Analyst will be expected to work under time pressure and be part of the 24-hour rotation system. Performance is measured by the capability to solve client problems on time.
Quality Assurance (QA)
The Analyst will be undertake a variety of QA work. Performance is measured by the successful and timely release of software to clients free of bugs.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Skills & Experience Required
Personal
• Must be able to work as a member of a global team
• Excellent management of relationships with clients and colleagues
• Successful ownership of part of a software system or a particular development activity; desire to take on responsibilities
• Willingness to travel abroad for project implementations
• Excellent command of business English, both written and verbal
Technical – General
• Outstanding general knowledge of technology
• Analytical thinking and problem-solving
• Professional IT experience, preferably in a financial related industry
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly and correctly
• Able to troubleshoot and identify technical issues quickly
For Programmer Analyst - Product Orientation: ONLINE Oracle
Technical - Requirements
• Database Development skills, specifically in Oracle 9i PL/SQL
• Database Administration skills, preferable in Oracle 9i
• Development skills in C language (ANSI C)
• Administrative skills on a Unix or Linux platform
• Development experience in large enterprise based systems
• Project experience in Installing, configuring, testing and training clients
• Development skills in VB.NET, ASP.NET for WEB environment
• Familiar with ISO 8583 message format
For Programmer Analyst - Product Orientation: PRIME Oracle
Technical - Requirements
• Database Development Skills, specifically in Oracle 9i PL/SQL
• Development skills in VB.NET, ASP.NET, WEB for WEB environment
• Database Administration skills, preferable in Oracle 9i
• Development experience in large enterprise based systems
• Project experience in Installing, configuring, testing and training clients
