About the Job :
Daon seeks an energetic Product Support Engineer to join our busy global Product Support function following our continued success in creating identity assurance products, frameworks and toolsets for international markets. Reporting to the Product Support Manager the successful candidate will support solution delivery across the complete product set. This role requires excellent problem solving skills, great communication skills and the highest levels of commitment and professionalism towards the goal of total customer satisfaction.

They are the identity assurance products of choice selected by the world’s leading system integrators for systems in National ID, Border Management, Immigration, and ePassport arenas. Responsibilities:
Work closely with the Product Support team for successful delivery of worldwide Support and Maintenance contracts to our clients and partners around the world
Co-ordinate Support & Maintenance efforts with colleagues across a growing number of Daon Support Centers (Dublin, Reston VA, Sydney, Dubai etc)
Implementation of the DaonWAY support methodology and lifecycle
Tight co-operation with Product Quality Control and Product Development teams
Ownership of assigned issues and support requests from receipt through research, action, escalation and closure. Managing issue information in company CRM, Support Tracking, Knowledge Base, FAQ repositories, etc.
Travel to Customer and Partner international locations for product deployment, configuration and upgrade activities as required.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Skills & Experience:
Extensive installation and administration experience in multiple Operating Systems across Windows, Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, etc.
Experience of HTTP Servers (Apache), Application Servers (Tomcat, WebSphere, Oracle Application Servers) and RDBMS (Oracle 10g, DB/2, SQL Server 2005)
Experience of Network devices and technologies, security infrastructures, etc.
Familiarity with basic hardware upgrade skills – processor, memory, disk
Fluency in English is required. Fluency in another language is desirable
Qualifications:
Mandatory - Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent
Beneficial – Microsoft, Sun, 3rd party vendor certifications, etc.
Beneficial – programming experience in PERL, Java, C#, shell, etc.
