Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Knowledge & experience in the following areas
• Major principles of combustion and low NOx combustion modification technologies
• Hands on calculation of NOx formation in large Utility Power Power boilers
• Boiler furnace design principles
• Design of Wall, Corner & downshot firing arrangements
• Understanding of fuel-related boiler design impact
• Calculation and determination of risk assessment and guarantee statement for combustion system on utility power boilers
• Design of combustion equipment including
o Large Low NOx coal burners
o Application of coal/oil & gas design codes including NFPA
o Development of new burner equipment including specification of combustion test rig data requirements and analysis of data.
o Fuel supply system design for coal, oil & gas
• Candidates must have a relevant engineering degree or chartered status.
• A minimum of 5 -10 years “front end” or conceptual design experience of power related plant (fossil fuel plant technology highly desirable)
