About the Job :
Objective: To be part of the team of engineers with responsibility for the Managed Security Services of the company
Main responsibilities : Monitoring and review of security logs and other incident-related information for several customers across a number of industries. Security technologies of interest include firewalls, IDS/IPS, network components, etc
Assessment of security information described above and preparation of incident reporting and communication to customers
Execution of necessary actions to address security events / incidents, including mitigation, prevention and more detailed detection policies
Reporting to : Head of Managed Security Services
Subordinates : Depends on experience and skills
Other interactions : Customer interaction with IT Security Officers and other experienced professionals from the customer side
Number required : 3-5
Duration : Permanent contract (subject to 6 month probation)
Desired start date : immediately
Probation : 6 months probation
Working hours : 40 hours per week
Travel requirements : very limited travel
Gross monthly base salary : Euros 1.400 to Euros 2.700 or more subject to qualifications and experience
Commission / Bonus : Discretionary (ie non-contractual) annual cash bonus scheme
Other Benefits : Up to 5 days "classroom-training" p.a. , 20 days annual leave, Non-contributory Medical Scheme, Provident Fund, Travelling allowances, Expense reimbursement |

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
Focused and disciplined professional with ability to review and decipher detailed and voluminous information to identify the key areas of interest and focus.
• Experience in security log review and actioning will be considered a significant advantage
• Security analyst experience and/or certifications
• Understanding of the technical security implications and needs for Windows NT/2000/2003/xp, Linux, Solaris operating systems
• Good understanding of networking design principles and protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, IPv4 and preferably IPv6)
• Good understanding of Layer 2, Layer 3 and Layer 4-7 networking concepts
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to deliver high quality and client focused deliverables
• Proficiency in written and oral English
• Hands-on experience in implementation and/or operation of one or more security technologies such as firewalls, intrusion detection and prevention systems, anti-virus and content filtering, url filtering, authentication solutions
• Certifications in any of Internet Security Systems, Check Point, and/or CISCO technologies will be considered a significant advantage. |
