About the Job :
The role of Manager of Service Planning is to provide pre-sales support of both a technical and financial nature through the bid management life cycle to the account management organisation and the operations programme management group.
Job Description / Requirements:
Works with both account management and programme management, understanding the system requirements for all incoming projects/bids/tenders and provides recommendations and costs on the appropriate hardware solutions to meet the requirements.
Liaises with developers, clients/users, software engineers and technical specialists to ascertain information relevant to determining capacity requirements of new or existing services, advising on findings as necessary.
Decides on the most appropriate hardware solution based on the agreed incoming requirements, an understanding of the existing capacity available and the Prague ITSC and Global standards.
Produces and maintains an overall infrastructure delivery plan, through the management of stock and ordering of new server and storage equipment.
Liaises within Production Operations to advise on the incoming infrastructure elements with regard to installation and configuration.
Maintains a good understanding of the disposition and capacity of installed system components and the capacity and performance implications of their interworking.
Maintains a good understanding of existing and future service commitments and the configuration designs associated with them.
Tracks and reports on the allocation of servers to services and the costs associated with provisioning infrastructure services to customers.
Liaises with external suppliers of hardware (servers, storage and switches), networks and software and other external organisations to achieve appropriate levels of understanding of capacity/performance specifications of existing and new architecture.
Liaises with external suppliers to obtain costings and quotations to support the bid management life cycle.
Develops and maintains appropriate cost models to reflect changes in technology and provide key input to the overall ISSC Charging Model

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
+10 years IT experience
Educated to degree level or holds a professional qualification.
Experienced in a large, multi vendor, computing environment preferable.
+5 years Project management experience.
+5 years technical pre
sales support experience.
