About the Job :
The Controller - CRE Central Europe is the leader for controllership of a rapidly expanding business in the Central & Eastern European markets and is managing complicated, unique and diverse transactions that frequently require specialized accounting and tax treatment on an international basis.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure business assets and accounting activities have functional integrity and proper controls, are well managed and operating efficiently.
- Coordinate financial reporting and closing issues across the European business.
- Provide oversight of all processes linked to financial reporting; lead team to achieve 6Sigma financial reporting through process improvements.
- Develop and implement key accounting processes and systems, including accounting for hedging activities and capital markets transactions.
- Play key role in every finance acquisition integration and purchase accounting review/ sign off
- Lead initiatives to consolidate European accounting into one platform/ location.
- Primary interface between the business and U.S. headquarters controller as well as both internal and external auditors.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
- Professional Accounting qualification (CPA, CA) or equivalent experience
- At least 3-5 years experience in a multinational operating big accounting firm or equivalent experience in the Financial Services industry
- Strong knowledge/ aptitude for technical accounting and controllership
- Advocate for process improvements/ change agent using 6-sigma process
- Significant international/ cross-border experience
- Must be able to simultaneously direct diverse teams in different countries
- Management of complex projects
- Team player with developed and proven leadership skills
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Ability to motivate staff at all levels
Desired:
- Strong technical knowledge of partnership accounting
- Multi-language capability
- Experience in financial systems implementation
- Previous Real Estate experience
