About the Job :
Our client, a leading media and advertising consultancy, is looking for an experienced candidate for the role of Account Director. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing a number of Account Managers/Executives. The team will be working closely with client representatives to meet the needs of the business by selling a full array of company products/services for the account group assigned to them, or as instructed.
The candidate's main resposibilities will be to
Work closely with the client marketing management and the clients advertising department and provide overall strategic direction for clients and Account groups regarding advertising/marketing programs.
Guide and mentor associates on clients positioning strategy development, target audience prospects, competitive frameworks, and consumer needs/benefits; and follow the execution of campaign developments and approved plans through associates.
Motivate teams to achieve agency goals through regular coaching.
Ensure efficient performance of the account team through balancing human and technical resources.
Forecast revenue and manage profitability of each account.
Examine the market and/or industry to identify and develop growth potential of existing and new business.
Monitor growth and development within the account team.
The candidate will represent upper management in the Account Services Department. Thus, his involvement could range from being very active within the company to even traveling abroad.

Profile of Ideal Candidate :
The incumbent must have
A minimum BA/BS, masters preferred or equivalent experience.
Excellent leadership, management and supervisory skills.
The ability to develop and motivate others.
5-8 years senior level account management.
Minimum 4 years managerial experience.
Proven project management skills.
Ability to make quick, accurate, and appropriate decisions.
Outstanding presentation skills.
A sense of fun, energy, and enthusiasm.
He must also
Be knowledgeable in each area of the advertising agency's business (media, creative, broadcast and print production research, promotions, public relations, and finance)
Be an excellent communicator with superior writing skills.
Be proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Be familiar with E-mail systems and Internet usage.
Speak fluent English.
