The Role

Responsibilities

· Investigates storage issues and provides resolution on complex issues following standard incident, change request and problem management processes.

· Documents storage infrastructure inventory.

· Gathers requirements, designs, and implements solutions to meet customers’ needs.

· Demonstrates knowledge of Fiber Channel, FCIP, or iSCSI concepts and technologies.

· Validates technical solution architecture and provides implementation time estimates and cost estimates versus performance trade-offs.

· Analyzes both hardware and software products for evaluation and proof of concept.

· Writes technical documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

· Develops standard operating processes for storage support.

· Bachelor degree in computer-related field or equivalent industry work experience.

· Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience within the Storage Management area, with a concentration of experience with IBM and/or HP Storage solutions.

· The qualified candidate must possess thorough knowledge and hands-on experience in implementing and managing IBM and/or HP storage solutions on Open Systems platforms.

· Hands-on experience with IBM and HP storage management tools is a must.

· Experience with other storage solutions, particularly Network Appliance NAS/SAN, is highly desirable.

· This experience must include hardware and software implementation in support of multiple systems. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential along with the ability to interact effectively with team members, management, and customers.

· Lastly, the ideal candidate must be able to work in a fast paced, multi-tasking, and rapidly changing environment.
