E.ON Engineering is the focus of the Company’s innovation, energy technologies, fleet support and engineering activities covering new build, energy, gas and industrial projects. It is an exciting time for us, supporting E.ON’s build programme with the construction of highly modern, environmentally friendly generating plants and renewable energy investments.

We’re looking for a suitably qualified engineer to join a professional team with experience in providing technical support on steam turbines in one or more of the following areas:

• Plant status reviews.
• Maintenance and replacement strategies.
• Inspection, repair and maintenance.
• Failure investigations and assessments.
• Integrity assessments.
• Component design / redesign.
• Flexible operation and damage
• limitation studies.
• New and retrofit plant specification.


Requirements


Requirements


This is an ideal opportunity for an individual with a strong technical focus in the area of steam turbines.

You should be able to demonstrate the following:

•Experience in the technical support areas
described.
•Solid interpersonal skills that build and maintain
effective customer relationships.
•The ability to deliver tasks effectively both within
a team and independently.
•Drive, energy and commitment with a history of
delivering to tight deadlines.
•An innovative approach to problem solving with a
flair for continuous improvement.
•Willingness to tackle new problems and not just
those you have experienced before.
•A degree, or equivalent relevant work-based
experience, in an engineering discipline.
•Chartered Engineer status, or have qualifications
leading to Chartered status.

It would also be an advantage to have an understanding of areas such as steam turbine auxiliaries and balance of plant equipment.
