The Role


The Role

Alpha CRC Ltd is seeking an engineer/technology expert to become familiar with products such as Idiom WorldServer, SDLX, AuthorIt, Clay Tablet. The ideal candidate would also be multilingual(near-native English required) who has a track record of taking initiative. In time he/she will provide guidance to Alpha CRC on how to deploy GM Systems within Alpha and enhance the service, quality and efficiency of translation for client companies using GM Systems and serve as a 'champion' in this area.


Responsibilities:
• Serving as a technical lead on key localization projects in GM Systems.
• Working with Project Management and Sales to take enhancements from requirements through functional specification, design, and implementation.
• Work with the Idiom team of Java/J2EE developers and software quality assurance engineers.

• A passion for working with world-class customers to solve interesting problems
• Bachelors of Science in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Some knowledge of enterprise-scale systems and applications.
• Some experience with Enterprise Java (JSP, Java Servlets , JDBC, JMS, JavaBeans)
• Some experience with XML (Web Services and SOAP is preferable)
• Some knowledge of Oracle and SQL Server
• Some production experience with Java-based open-source and commercial frameworks.
• Familiarity and/or experience with the following is a plus: Content
Management Systems, J2EE Application Servers, Rational ClearCase, Oracle DBMS, XML, Web Programming, Web Services.
• Some XML programming skills, including XSLT, XML Schemas.
• An understanding of the Product Development Life Cycle concepts,
experience working in the organization that utilizes it.
• Good organizational, interpersonal, communications, presentation and analysis skills.
