In response to growing business demands, opportunities have arisen for engineers and metallurgists with experience of plant component inspections and subsequent integrity assessment. |
RequirementsRequirementsThe ideal candidates would have hands-on experience in some or all of the following:- Inspection of components such as pipe-work, pressure vessels, and castings that are subject to degradation mechanisms such as creep, fatigue and flow accelerated corrosion. Development of risk based inspection strategies. Failure investigations. Pressure Systems compliance. Coal/Oil/Gas/Nuclear and Renewable Power Plant. However, we are also looking for engineers and scientists who have related skills and experience, possibly working in other industries (e.g. petro-chemical), who are interested in gaining experience and developing their careers within the Power Industry in the field of Plant Integrity. Within the role there is also the opportunity for involvement in R & D projects covering plant improvements and life extension. We would expect you to have a degree in an appropriate discipline and have, or be working towards, Chartered status. You would be committed to working flexibly as part of the wider team, and as a self-starter would plan and respond to changing customer priorities. You should also be willing to travel across the UK, and to work for our overseas customers for short periods. |
