The RoleThe RoleObjective: The Pipeline Project Engineer’s role is to ensure that PSL Pipeline Services objectives are met safely, cost effectively, without damage to the environment and in full compliance with PSL and clients policies and procedures. Main responsibilities : • Responsible for the onshore engineering and co-ordination of designated pipeline pre-commissioning projects. Typical tasks include:- flooding, pigging, gauging, pressure testing, de-watering, and drying of pipelines. • Responsible for ensuring operations are engineered in a safe and efficient manner. • Ensure equipment mobilisation lists are properly completed for each job. • Ensure that ‘project specific’ equipment to be purchased from suppliers is done so in a timely and cost efficient manner. • Responsible for directing and managing field personnel designated to the project. • Responsible for managing designated pipeline projects in line with commercial expectations. • Responsible for ensuring invoices are completed correctly in line with the contract, giving sufficient explanation and back up where appropriate. • Advisor to clients on PSL Services. RequirementsRequirements• Promote team building within the PSL Pipeline Services teams in order to create a culture of openness, involvement and participation. • Deliver end of project reports capturing lessons learned within recommendations for the next project. • Ensure the safe execution and delivery of Pipeline Services activity in line with HSE legislation, client expectations, policies and procedures. • Act as the first point of contact for client offshore operational matters, as and when required. • Ensure that HSE incidents are reported in line with the regulations and client guidelines and closed out in a timely manner. • Demonstrate HSE leadership at all times. • Ensure PSL meet or exceed the objectives of the client key point indicators. • Ensure competent personnel and assigned to carry out PSL’s work scope. • Foster good relations with client management and operational staff. • Conduct personnel appraisals as required. • Audit both the activity and management systems of PSL’s services and reporting performance. • Comply with PSL quality, safety, environmental management systems and procedures to ensure all duties are executed in a safe manner minimising harm to the environment. • Carry out periodic ‘On Call’ duties as requested. |
