The Role


Nord Stream is a gas pipeline which links Russia and the European Union via the Baltic Sea. It will carry natural gas to supply both businesses and households. The new pipeline will be an
important factor of energy security in Europe.

Nord Stream is more than just a pipeline. It is a new channel for Russian natural gas exports, and a major infrastructure project which sets a new benchmark in the EU-Russia cooperation.

Job Role
Reporting directly to the Deputy Technical Director, you manage the Task Force within Nord Stream regarding critical situations and special issues

Main Responsibilites:

- Collect and analyze informations and develop solutions on technical, legal and environmental problems
- Ensure and monitor correctness of application documents
- Ensure related follow-up requirements
- Organize and participate in the reviewing process
- Organize and co-chair Task Force meetings
- Prepare decisions and present identified options
- Assume tasks in case of lacking manpower in the permitting department
- Participate in Task Force or ad-hoc- meetings and prepare statements
- Time Schedule and ToDo Management of the Task Force

Requirements


Requirements


- A degree in Engineering with a sound understanding of business economics
- Experience in Strategic and Project Management of large scale construction or energy projects
- Experience in Crisis Management in energy projects or equivalent undertakings
- Experience in coordination with departments, sub-contractors and third parties
- Proven ability to achieve results in fast paced and changing environment
- Strong ability to deal with pressure, different cultures and organisations
- Fluent in English and German, highly preferred Scandinavian and Russian language skills
- Willingness to travel on short notice
