The RoleThe RoleLeading provider of Social Care in Central Southern England is looking for highly qualified Domiciliary Care Assistants. 3 vacancies will be available from August/September 2006 on initial 1 year contract will be issued which is renewable by agreement of both parties. Full professional support, training and development will be available. Accommodation offered in shared houses (5 people).The prices for rooms are between £60-£70 per week. Post Title: Domiciliary Care Assistant Professional Profile: The precise duties of the member of staff would be dependent on the assessed needs of the particular service user. The member of staff will be expected to carry out his/her duties with due care and respect, without discriminating between clients and with regard to their dignity, independence, right to choose and their privacy and within specific times as laid down. Accountable to: Domiciliary Care Team Leader ________________________________________________________ General Duties: To offer support in the home dependent on the assessed needs of the particular service user. This will include help with personal care, helping to dress, cooking, local shopping and some housework and laundry, at times stated on the care schedule. Under certain circumstances as directed by the Office Supervisor/Team Leader to prompt service user to take prescribed medication. (This will not include invasion of body techniques). To report to their line manager (or on duty manager if out of hours) and cause for concern, and monitor the condition of the service user. To keep a written record (held in service user’s home) of daily tasks carried out and record time of arrival and departure. To keep strictly to the written care plan and follow all manual handling instructions. To provide appropriate support to the service user outside the home should this be part of the care plan. To attend any training or supervisory interviews as are deemed necessary and respond to telephone calls from the office. Adhere to all company policies and procedures including those relating to Health, Safety and Confidentiality. Employer offers: To cover transport to the UK Contract for 1 year with the possibility of extension Gross salary £13,000/annum Paying Home Office registration fee Use of company car Accommodation for £60 - £70 per week. 4 weeks holiday English tuition £150 bonus if one year completed This is for one-year contract with return fee paid the employer. This post is suitable for those who wish to improve social care and language skills. Applicants must be outgoing, willing to work flexible hours! Car £5 per week for petrol (you have to pay first journey to the client and last journey back home, everything in between is covered by SCA, car may be used for your personal shopping but only if the car is not required to be used for work!) £10 per 4 week tax for using the car. This is required by the Inland Revenue tax office! |
